The structure and mechanical properties of magnesium alloy Mg-1%Zn-0,2%Ca after intensive plastic deformation by the method of equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) are studied. The microstructure of the alloy after various strains by the ECAP method was studied by optical and scanning electron microscopy. It is established that with increasing of strains, the most homogeneous structure is formed. It is shown that after the strain of 7,2 by the ECAP method, a minimum average grain size of 2 ?m is formed. It was found that at this strain the samples are characterized by high microhardness values of 69,5±6,7 Hv. Simultaneously, it was revealed that with increasing of strain, the mechanical properties of the alloy increase. The greatest value of the tensile strength was achieved with the most value of strain and, correspondingly, the smallest average grain size and was equal to 282±9MPa, which is in 2 times higher in comparison with the homogenized state of 138±5 MPa, while maintaining plasticity.Downloads
