A survey on applications of fuzzy cognitive maps in business and management

Abstract

The aim of this article is to present a survey on applications of fuzzy cognitive maps to today’s busi-ness management indicating its comparative advantages to conventional expert systems. Thus, a survey on FCM studies related to business and management is elaborated, marking down their evolution during the last decade. Various representative applications of fuzzy cognitive maps are illustrated in diverse areas of busi-ness management, such as e business, performance assessment, human resources management, planning and investment decision making processes.
