Modified method of Saaty for problem of transport mode choice

Abstract

The task of transport mode choice with the following selection criteria is formulated in this article: number of transport modes, single operator of transportation, type of transportation payment, interaction scheme of participants of transport process,  number of contracts, responsible for the goods (security of cargo), number of responsible persons, delivery time, transportation cost, reliability of observance of delivery schedule, frequency of departures, the ability to deliver  goods to any destination, choice of logistics partner, time of registration applications for transportation. Mathematical model for the formulated problem is developed. Modified method of Saaty with five- point scale is proposed for solving of formulated task, which allows reducing required time to choose for way of transport and type of transport, and thus improve the efficiency of the transport process.
