Abstract

The paper presents a rationale for the use of global combustion mechanisms and an approach for their optimization using methane as an example. An optimization algorithm is given and the optimal basis data represented by an experiment or a known solution is determined which can be used as reference values. In general form a mechanism for the combustion of hydrocarbons is proposed and the results of its optimization are presented which is fitted values of the parameters of all reactions that characterize their kinetics. The results of verification of the optimized mechanism for kinetic and diffusion types of flame in a onedimensional problem are shown. An analysis of possible improvements to the mechanism optimization approach was performed.
