Efficiency losses in high pressure turbines with shrouding
Keywords:
Gas turbine engine; turbine; gas efficiency; CFD analysisAbstract
Reduced energy loss in the shrouded turbine blades is achieves by the reducing leakage through the radial gap: in the axial direction of the labyrinth seal formulation; and circumferentially – by eliminating the gas flow from the trough at the back. For newly created shrouded turbines primary problem is to reduce the weight of the shroud belt. The most general method of reducing weight is grooving contour cuts at the front and rear ends of the shelves. series of CFD-calculations of the three variants retaining shelves of high pressure turbine engine NK36ST.The values of the capacity and efficiency achieved for turbine stage for a variety of gas expansion ratios.Downloads
