The definition of initial deformations in the cylindrical parts surface layer by Finite Elements Modeling method using PATRAN/NASTRAN program complex

The method of the initial deformations definition in hardened cylindrical parts has been adduced. Using the Finite Elements Modeling method and PATRAN/NASTRAN program complex the calculation of hardened cylindrical part made of 12Х18Н10Т steel with 15 mm external diameter and 10 mm internal one initial deformations definition has been carried out. It has been shown on the calculation example that the initial deformations definition has been done by the small number of iterations. It’s been carried out that the thickness of the layer with the initial deformations in the smooth part of the cylindrical detail slightly exceeds the depth where the residual stresses change their sign from negative to positive.Downloads
