Statistical properties of confidential estimates of reliability characteristics boundary values

Abstract

The article deals with confidential estimation of the reliability characteristics boundary values of technical products. The shifts of reliability estimates within the confidence interval, depending on the volume of the sample and the type of the distribution time to failure are investigated for given confidence level and time to failure. Based on these results, a method of confidence estimation of the reliability characteristics boundary values, which allows to take into account the behavior of the probability characteristics within the confidence interval, which in turn allows us to reduce uncertainty of received estimates.
