Ground vehicles on traction batteries (TABs) are currently of significant scientific interestin various fields of science, and existing vehicles on traction batteries are starting to compete withvehicles with an internal combustion engine (ICE) and traditional transmission schemes. The useof a traction electric drive on these vehicles makes it possible to effectively solve problems that aredifficult to achieve for vehicles with internal combustion engines. The modern level of developmentof the electric drive allows it to be assembled in previously inaccessible ways – an active studyof mechatronic transmissions is underway. A mechatronic transmission should be understoodas a product in the body of which an electric motor, a gearbox and a propulsion drive are combined. While electric motors have more options than ICEs, they also require a transmission. Most often it isa gearbox with two gear ratios. Depending on the layout, the tasks assigned to the vehicle and thenumber of electric motors, there are many options for the gearbox. Based on a variety of sources, itcan be argued that a number of technical solutions for the design of mechatronic transmissions forthe given requirements have already been formed.Downloads
